General Terms and Conditions (GTC) – Culinary Atelier
These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) define the relationship between participants of cooking classes, private events, corporate team-building events, and Culinary Atelier.
1. Services
Culinary Atelier commits to providing professional educational and gastronomic services, including cooking classes, culinary workshops, private dinners, bespoke gastronomic experiences for private customers, and team-building events tailored specifically for corporate clients, delivered with utmost care and professionalism.
2. Booking and Confirmation
Bookings can be made through our website, phone, email, or Instagram. An event is officially confirmed once the offer is accepted in writing and the full payment has been received.
3. Payment Terms
Payments must be made in full and in advance according to the issued invoice, adhering strictly to the specified payment deadline. Prices on the website are without VAT.
4. Costs
Costs for cooking classes, workshops, private events, and corporate team-building events are detailed in the respective offers and include the cooking session, meals, recipes, and necessary materials.
5. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellations must be submitted in writing and are subject to the following conditions:
Private Customers:
  • Cancellations up to 21 days before the event: Full refund minus an administrative fee of CHF 10.
  • Cancellations 14-20 days before the event: 50% refund.
  • Cancellations within 14 days before the event or no-show: No refund.
Corporate Clients:
  • Cancellations up to 30 days before the event: 70% refund.
  • Cancellations 15-29 days before the event: 30% refund.
  • Cancellations within 14 days before the event or no-show: No refund.
Participants may reschedule to another date, subject to availability, or transfer their registration to another participant with prior agreement.
6. Event Cancellation by Culinary Atelier
Should Culinary Atelier cancel an event due to illness, organizational reasons, or insufficient enrollment, participants will be offered an alternative date or a full refund of the event costs upon request.
7. Changes to Participant Numbers (Events)
For private events and corporate team-building events, final participant numbers must be confirmed at least 10 days before the event. Reductions in participant numbers after this deadline cannot be refunded.
8. Special Dietary Requirements
Any dietary restrictions or specific requirements must be communicated at least 10 days before the event to ensure appropriate accommodations.
9. Event Arrival
Doors open 5 minutes before the scheduled event start time. Events will begin no later than 10 minutes after the scheduled start time.
10. Gift Certificates
Gift certificates are valid for 12 months from the issuance date unless otherwise stated. Extensions may be requested in writing or via telephone before the expiry date. Certificates must be paid within 7 days of invoice issuance, and their value is non-refundable. Remaining balances after redemption are non-refundable but may be applied towards future events.
11. Liability
Participants engage in events at their own risk. Culinary Atelier is not liable for personal belongings lost, stolen, or damaged, nor for personal injury or material damage incurred during events, including adverse reactions to food and beverages due to allergies or health conditions.
12. Force Majeure
Culinary Atelier reserves the right to cancel or reschedule events due to circumstances beyond its control, such as natural disasters, severe weather, or governmental actions, without liability.
13. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by Swiss law. Any disputes shall be exclusively settled by the courts of Basel, Switzerland.
By booking an event with Culinary Atelier, you acknowledge and agree to these General Terms and Conditions.
